Following two successful years Community festival is heading back to Londons Finsbury park on the 30th of June 2019 for another indie music spectacular. Previous years have seen acts such as Catfish and the bottlemen, Two Door cinema club, Pale Waves and Slaves take to the stage. Read out review of last year here
The first wave of artists has just been announced and set to headline are indie rock royalty The Kooks, read our review of their latest album 'Let's go sunshine' here.
Expressing his excitement frontman Luke Pritchard said “It’ll be 15 years since we first formed as a band next year, and I can’t think of any better way to celebrate than headlining our biggest show to date at Community 2019. It’s been an incredible journey that’s taken us around the world, playing to so many of you and changing our lives completely - we can’t wait to have the biggest party of the summer. See you there x”
Also taking to the stage are out favourite Stockport five-piece 'Blossoms' they've been taking the scene by storm since the release of their debut back in 2016, they've also got their sold out Edgeley Park to look forward to as well so definitely a summer to remember for these guys.
Alongside these lineup toppers are Reading rockers 'The Amazons', Rising stars 'The night Cafe' as well as 'Kate Nash', 'The Academic' and 'Sea Girls' all unmissable performers that encapsulate everything great about indie.
Undoubtedly the band were most excited to see grace this lineup is 'BLOXX' a favourite of ours, their catchy back to back indie bangers will work great under the summer sunshine, these guys know how to get a crowd going. They actually attended the first two instalments of Community as punters so now they've finally get the chance to jump up there. We had the pleasure of catching them for an interview a few months back, have a read of that here.
