The 1975- TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME SINGLE REVIEW

The 1975’s new single TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME certainly has fans hooked. Matty Healy’s distinct vocals, combined with an array of synths and a bass heavy backing, create an appealing tropical house tune.

Having been a 1975 fan for a number of years, I was excited to hear what this tune had to offer. The upbeat and contemporary elements were incredibly catchy, and whilst listening, I couldn’t help but imagine how great this song would sound live. The beat is sure to have fans up on their feet and the tune it’s self is easily recognisable.

Surprisingly, the vocals really contrast the upbeat positivity of the music. The Lines “I think we need to rewind, you text that boy sometimes” cleverly display a one-sided argument between Healy and his girlfriend.

One thing is for sure though, this song is very appealing to many- with the single being placed at the top of The Indie List on Spotify. This creates a great level of excitement and anticipation ahead of the bands upcoming album ‘A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships’.
