THE HARA - DISCOVERY

Updated: Aug 6, 2018

Meet the Hara, a three piece band from Manchester signed by cloud9records made up of Josh Taylor (frontman), Zack Breen (Lead Guitar) and Jack Kennedy (drums).

The trio first met when singer Josh found lead guitarist Zack and drummer Jack online through a shared love of music and a passion for performing.

Inspired busy artists such as The 1975, Harry Styles and Panic! , their diverse sound of pop-rock alternative music is an easy listen that you will instantly fall in love with.

BBC Introducing Lancashire was first to pick up on the band in 2017; playing their music weekly, asking them into the station, headlining them for a Children In Need concert and placing them on the BBC Introducing Stage for their first Festival.

The HARA band name was derived accidentally after seeing the ‘Sahara’ brand etched on a barbecue with the ‘Sa’ faded so only ‘hara’ remained. After finding out ‘the hara’ is a tool for spiritual awakening the boys immediately took to the Eastern meanings ‘gateway into the etheric envelope surrounding the planet’ and ‘an infinite ocean of energy’

The Hara have also recently completed their first 6 date UK headline tour ‘Only Young’ in October 2017, just three months after becoming a band, after which they announced a 10 date UK and Ireland ‘No Regrets’ tour to promote their first EP featuring songs such as ‘accidental love’ and ‘all worked out’

Their release of their ‘No Regrets’ EP was the Highest New Entry in the official iTunes Album charts reaching no.29 later peaking at no.2 in the official iTunes Alternative Album charts ;only to miss out on the no.1 spot as Artic Monkeys released their first album in 5 years.

In the coming year the HARA will be supporting an promoting tours, gigs and festivals, hoping to reach and create fans across the globe, You can be expecting new music coming soon from the boys and possibly even an album. Keep your eyes peeled for more to come from the trio.
